It has been 2-3 weeks since the celebration of my birth and after I thought the party dust had settle I came home after work to find this waiting for me…
I am happy with the simple things in life but when it is unexpected simplicity… I am overwhelmed with unexplained feelings. Since the start of the year my whole world has changed and the sender of this card has played a big part in this transition.
So another year has been added to my life. This time round seemed a little different to previous years. Not too sure why but maybe because circumstances at present are more real and the dirty thirty is drawing ever so close. Don’t get me wrong though as I’m talking about this change in a good sense.
This years greetings were so overwhelming. Not only did I receive wishes from here and there in all forms of communication but also from across the seas which really made my day extra special!
Plans are still being followed through along with a few other big decisions being added on top of that. I’m hard on the grind like no other at the moment and a lot of my closest have noticed my disappearance.
I’m keeping the new added plans for myself but let’s just say at this present moment I am pretty happy and it can only get better from here ;D
“Every moment is your opportunity to build a life that’s rich and full, so take a deep breath, aim for the stars, and make it happen.”
The lil nugget received a nice decent sized kiddie pool from Santa this past Christmas and thumbs up to mother nature for finally letting out the proper summer weather just in time for the lil nugget’s birthday party last Saturday.
It a took a while for us to setup as “we had no pools in the projects” so there were a few technical difficulties. But 7,000 litres of water and two trips to the hardware store later the lil nugget and his rugrat cousins were able to have fun under the summer sun. He was all smiles which was really good to see.
The next day it was my turn, spending the majority of the day chillin’ with a couple of cold ones! he he he… If the weather holds up this heat I guess the next couple of weekends will definitely be spent “living” in this pool.
