Allow me to introduce… THE LIL’ NUGGET

A few people have met the lil’ nugget and know who I’m referring to but to the right people who are assuming that it’s probably a little piece of poop I was proud of and kept, I’m talking about my 19yrs younger of a brother.

He can be a handful at times but all in all he can be a good laugh. It didn’t really hit me until last weekend, when he had to go through a certain ‘rite of passage’ for our religion, on how fast he’s growing.

Yes, the lil’ nugget can piss me off but what kid doesn’t at times? It’s easy to switch the tables and get revenge anyway which leaves me dancing around him chanting “Now who’s laughing? Now who’s laughing”. It’s all in good fun though and I’m quick to apologize and so is he.

In a blink of an eye our fam has gone from changing his diapers, dropping him off at pre-school to dropping him off at primary school. Still a bit worried about him entering high school but the road there is still distant and I’m sure he’ll be fine.

If only we could stop time in order for us to enjoy these moments a little longer because not only does he get older but so do we…. shit!
